About ME

I am an independent speech and drama coach, the director of Blank Canvas Productions Ltd and a professional actor. I have worked nationally and Internationally with people of all ages, abilities and nationalities - not only as a tutor, trainer, performer, reporter and director, but also as an examiner. 

My first professional performance engagement was at the age of 5 and since then I have continued to explore the creative process of performance. My journey of formation includes working in: The Birmingham Old Rep, the New Writers Festival - Aston University, UK National Students Drama festival the International Theatre Festival in New York, The Edinburgh Festival, Hull Truck Theatre Company, USA Super 8mm Film Festival in New Jersey, Pantomine in varies places in the UK, Summer Season at the Bournemouth International Centre, St Guillino Park - Venice, Maison de la Cultutre - Bourges (France), TV, Film, Documentary, Animation and numerous educational and performing arts hubs in Italy, France and the UK.

Other significant careers and work experience in fields such as Research, Hospitality, Human Resources, Celebrancy, Administration, Shop and Temp Agency work have also played a big role in my formation and my ability to connect to people.

So my life really has been a massive jigsaw of experience.

It was about 20 years ago that I decided to start bringing all of this life experience together and started working as a Speech and Drama Tutor. This was shortly followed by gaining my TELF qualification with the University of Cambridge (CELTA) which enabled me to teach English through Drama. It has been such a blessing to work with so many people of all ages, nationalities and abilities.

I often get asked if I am a 'Drama School' - to which I reply 'no'. I am a practitioner for all - for confidence building, team building, for education, for vocation, for inspiration and to remind people not to look sideways but to embrace the individual that they are and to encourage empowerment in a group setting.

I am based in Norwich and work throughout the UK and also Internationally.
